My Office Space

My resolution to live a happier more mindful existence has seen me make great changes in all areas of my life. So its seems only fitting to consciously think of how my work space effects me and what I need to think of when curating the space. An unfortunate number of people have horrendous work spaces. Personally I have had a couple of yawn inspiring desks in corporate cube farms over the years.

My job calls for me to be creative all day, every day. Thats hard to keep up. It’s important my work space nurtures my creativity. I don't work with clutter and everything on my desk must look visually pleasing to me. It sounds a bit mental but I think if I had a messy desk it would add to the clutter in my mind. When choosing the decor I wanted to keep the colour palette restrained. I find I am more effected by colour than others and I am most relaxed when I’m not around much of it. Everything I own is either black, white, cream, beige, wood or metallic. It's a bit sad really. Anyway you can't change who you are so I embrace the lack of colour in my life and make up for it in texture.

I had so much fun creating this little space and I made it my personal challenge to do it as cheaply as possible.
